Hey-ya! Hey-ya! Hey-ya! Hello there friends.

I have started a new label called JSK Media. Like I always said "Be your own boss!" well I guess I am taking that motto to the nth degree, as I am now running two labels! Our 1st label Sudden Death Records has basically been the home for all of our punk/heavy bands, JSK Media will be the place to find some different styles, like ska and rock and pop. In essence, anything goes with JSK, as we know that cool music can come in many different forms, so here's our chance to branch out.

JSK Media will be releasing some great new artists in the coming years, starting with Once Just, a great new rock/pop band from Calgary, their new album will be out this fall. In the spring of 2007 Taboo will let loose with my new solo CD, it's going to be a real departure from D.O.A. as it will be a roots/ska album and of course it will have a lot of fire an passion in it, take my word on this matter.

Onwards and upwards to all of you

Meet Once Just, a genuine rock band influenced by pop culture wit without selling out to the masses. They are un-tethered and true alongside original lyrics which are both provocative and insightful with undeniable hooks. Once Just boasts their own unique freestyle orchestration that effortlessly draws you into their world. It’s rock music without prejudice of genre, tempo and tradition. Once Just is a refreshing pop culture phenomenon drenched in the resin of rock music. Once Just hangs their threads in Calgary where they began almost five years ago. The band has undergone some renovation and has risen with an immense sense of growth.

Their stories are typical; details unimportant. What is important is that Once Just is emerging as the hottest swaggering rock band in Western Canada. Their music feast is inhabited by an indelible cast of characters led by lead vocals, co-producer and songwriter Caleb Cummings. Caleb writes for the band and leaves behind the heartfelt angst of an old soul and a voice not yet recognized in this industry. Co-producer Chris Noble on drums and keyboard joins him. Chris brings to life the cocky brashness of an aged rocker offering a refreshing slice of percussion. The rest of this motley cast is populated by Dave Delamont on lead guitar and background vocals and Mike Van Doorn on bass.

Once Just began pounding the pavement with an assault on radio from the back of a U-Haul van. Soon after, “When It’s Over” was added to regular rotation by several radio stations throughout Canada including The Goat 106.1, Freq 107 and Mix 97 and also received numerous specialty spins across the country. Once Just became Freq 107’s most requested group of the Fall after receiving an early add for “Hyperventilation”, a funk flavored free spirited rock edge number with a tinge of reggae.

Two years ago, while touring the United States, Simultaneously and Effects Networks added “Denver” to all 44 of their stations. Considering this success, it isn’t a surprise that Much Loud added their video “When It’s Over”, to their lineup. Much Music also began regularly featuring the video.

Packed shows became a given as fans simply couldn’t get enough. Once Just was also chosen to showcase at the Extreme Bandslam during Canadian Music Week where, again, they stole the show, sold out of records and were immediately added to CJAY 92. In all, a great start to a promising career where the sky is the limit for Once Just.
